About Me

I grew up moving every so often, but we always lived on the coast. I have a deep rooted obsession with the ocean, as most people do, but for reasons of my own. 

As I've gotten older, I've come to love cities just as much. The energy! The hustling, and the bustling, and the busyness of it all. We live in Charlotte, NC - which is sort of a strange city, if I'm honest. It's a hungry sort of place. Adapting and molding and craving more...which is perhaps why I've grown so fond of it. We are kindred spirits, she and I.

I live in a constant state of trying to figure out who I am. Aren't we all? 

So far I know what makes me happy - my husband, my dogs, my family, coffee, chocolate, whiskey, reading, making things with my hands, and clothes. Lots and lots of clothes. And shoes. And makeup. And all things girlie.

I also know what kind of person I want to be along the way. Someone who is adventurous and brave. Someone who is kind to others, and strives to leave things better than I found them. I want to carry myself with integrity, always.

So, I'm trying to be that person. Day by day I think that's the best you can to, is try to be a force of good. But, you know, I'm trying to have a hell of a great time too!
